On Tuesday October 14, our senior boys’ volleyball team took Georgetown to three
sets in the end, coming up victorious in the end.
The boys just won their first game against Bishop Reding the previous Thursday and
were pretty pumped in the first set. The boys kept on hitting hard, talking, and really kept the
ball moving. At the end of the first set, the boys came out with the win at 25-20, which was
pretty awesome considering Georgetown had demolished the boys earlier in the season.
The second set was then on its way, the boys were in the lead for most of the set, with
victory in arm’s reach, but alas Georgetown came back at the end and in a nail-biting game they
win the set 28-26. In the third set the boys were determined to win, to prove to themselves
that they could do it.
Finally at the end, the boys took the set and the game at 15-9. Starting middle, Patrick
Gamble was very happy with the win saying it was “Awesome, awesome news, I don’t know
how long it’s been since we beat them, it’s an awesome feeling.”
On October 23, our team suffered a tough lost against White Oaks. In the first set,
Trinity was leading during the first set, but then stopped talking to each other out of
frustration, causing them to lose in the first set 25-17.
During the second set, they boys were determined to win, to keep their chins held up
high, dig in and take the win. Sadly that was not the case, both teams were pushing for points,
but at 24-23, Trinity made a fatal mistake causing them to lose 25-23.
