By: Izabela Pitula

Seems like this beautiful, warm and sunny weather is here to stay therefore it’s a great opportunity to come out outdoors to the field and support HT’s spring teams. The last week of April was a busy one as all of our teams were in action. Overall it was another successful week in the Titans’ world.

The junior girls’ soccer team had their first game of the season on Monday when they destroyed White Oaks’ team with the score of 10-0! Their next game was on Wednesday against Iroquois Ridge. The girls came out victorious with the 4-1 final. The team is looking great early on as they are in second place in the Volpe division. Their next game is in Milton on Wednesday. The senior girls’ soccer team has a 2-0-1 record so far and is placed second in the AAAA division. The ladies took on Loyola on Tuesday which resulted in a 2-2 tie. Two days later their opponent was a team from Georgetown whom the Titans outplayed 4-0. The seniors will face the Oakville-Trafalgar team this coming Tuesday. Good luck ladies!

The junior boys’ soccer team is 3-0-0 so far with 9 points in the Volpe division. On Monday, they faced White Oaks team and won the game with the score of 5-0. Two days later they played Iroquois Ridge and also won that one with the final result of 4-1. On Friday, May 1st, the juniors played in the King’s Christian Collegiate soccer tournament and were crowned the champions! Congrats to the team and keep up the great work! The senior boys’ soccer team is starting the season well with a 2-0-1 record so far. After a home and season opener loss two weeks ago, the senior boys got their first win against Loyola on Tuesday. Two days later, they hosted a team from Georgetown in a game which they won 2-1. The seniors play Oakville-Trafalgar on Tuesday. Good luck boys!

Titans’ senior boys’ baseball team kicked off their season on Friday with an unfortunate 17-12 loss. The boys will travel to King’s Christian Collegiate tomorrow in hopes of getting their first win of the season. Good luck Titans!

Senior girls’ rugby team kicked off their season and home opener with a 17-12 loss against White Oaks, but the girls played well and a team character was shown. On Friday, they took on Abbey Park who they beat 17-15 to seal their first win of the season. The ladies take on the Corpus’ team on Tuesday. Senior boys’ rugby team kicked off the season in great style with a 25-22 win on Wednesday against Nelson. They will host a team from Georgetown tomorrow afternoon so come on out and show your Titan black & gold spirit!

Titans’ senior girls’ fastpitch team will kick off their season on May 5th against Iroquois! Good luck ladies!

Titans’ girls and boys’ tennis team as well as track and field team concluded their tryouts this past week therefore the teams will be announced somewhere this week. The Titan Times will keep you updated.

P.S. Check out more sports articles and other features that are going on in the Titans’ world in our second print edition that will begin this week! Don’t miss out on this great opportunity! It is a great grad keeper and a memory of a lifetime especially if YOU are mentioned in the school’s paper!
