Girls' Night In Recap

By: Izabela Pitula

Titans hosted yet another successful event but this time it was all about the ladies!

Steady ticket sales to the second annual “Girls’ Night In” showed the enthusiasm of many Titan ladies prior to the event. On Tuesday, May 26th, Mrs. Komow & Madame D’Amore along with a group of creative and hard working girls, put on an event that will last as a fabulous memory for those who attended.

A welcome prayer by our principal, Mrs. O’Grady and the introduction speeches by Miss. Komow and the special guest speaker Coco Larain kicked off our celebration!

Girls’ Night In was in full swing with healthy snacks, delicious mocktails and a sea of Titan ladies with their newly designed Girls’ Night T-shirt that read, "I am strong. Strong girls build each other up".

Zumba brought us all together in the gym to show off all our dance moves. Although at the end everyone looked sweaty and tired, it was such an awesome time! Everyone was smiling from ear to ear. Special thanks to Annie, the Zumba instructor who taught us some crazy moves!

Halfway through the event, it was time for delicious food to be served! The menu included lasagna, salad and garlic bread. The desert was filled with fruits and pink-themed cupcakes. During the feast, there were some great raffle prizes given out as well which promoted an active and positive self image. Thank you to Bot industries and our other prize sponsors!

Later that evening, it was time to get a little serious as Coco shared her message about loving yourself, living a happy and successful life, and having fun doing so. Coco led some great activities that helped us see our true selves. She gave phenomenal life advice - love yourself, because God made you for a reason. Thanks to Coco, many of us realized that beauty isn’t about having a pretty face, but rather it is about a pretty mind, a pretty heart and especially a beautiful soul. At the end, Nicolle Coco LaRain passed a box around filled with little symbols that we each had to choose that best represent ourselves and then one symbol that we would give to someone else that best represent them. It was a really heartwarming activity, because it showed different personalities of all the girls.

Before the event concluded, the returning guest speaker received a thank you gift on behalf of all the girls attending. The leading staff, Mrs. Komow & Madame D’Amore got a huge round of applause as well as small gifts for putting on such an amazing event. We were definitely all smiles with the delicious chocolate covered pretzels we received as a parting gift!

At the end of the night, before everyone parted ways, we all signed each others Girls' Night In shirts and showed them off in our group photo! We loved all that Girls' Night In represented because:

"I am strong. Strong girls build each other up".

Thank you to everyone who came out on Tuesday night to celebrate girl power! You are all strong and beautiful Titan girls! Special thanks to our honorary guest speaker as well as the Zumba leader. Shoutout to the amazing group of girls and staff who organized another successful event and Mrs. O’Grady for allowing us to wear our special signed shirts the next day!

GET READY for those tickets next year to experience the fun of a lifetime and an incredibly girly night at GIRLS' NIGHT IN!

GOOOO TITANS!!!
