The winter season is almost behind us. It was a fulfilling time for our Titan athletes as well as the fans who came out to the rinks and courts to support the teams. This week, Holy Trinity’s curling team has been named Halton Champions after an incredible season and playoff run. The team who consists of Melissa Stanley-Patrick, Steve Molnar, Serena Maione and D’Arcy Murphy worked together throughout the season to get this far. Their team chemistry and fun on the ice proved to be a successful one. With the help of Mr. Orlanski and Mr. Sluski, HT1 made history as their banner will rise up in HT’s wall of fame. Congratulations and good luck to this team in their season closing exhibition match-up tomorrow at the OCC. Come on out and support them for one final match this year!
During this past week, spring training has started. Although it’s for sports that are played outdoors, there is one athletic event that normally belongs in winter. The junior hockey tryouts begin this week for the upcoming season and tournaments. Good luck to the boys who are competing with one another for the spots on the team! Last week, the tryouts for soccer, rugby and badminton also started. The morning and after school practices had begun for coaches to see who would be a potential member on their respective teams. Coaches are looking for passion for the sport, ability to play, teamwork and skills that consist of leadership and good character. Good luck to all of our HT students and remember that even if you don’t make the team, there is always next year!
LETS GO TITANS!!!
