Calling All Greasers

Are you interested in making a change in the world while having fun? If you answered yes, then movie night will be perfect for you! On Wednesday March 11th, Free the Children is hosting its second movie night. This time, we're watching Grease! The doors open at 6pm and the movie begins at 6:15. If you're thinking "tell me more" about this event, keep reading!

As you may know, Free the Children is dedicated to helping those who are in need. One thing that makes Free the Children unique from many other charities is the concept of sustainability. We believe that it is important to provide materials and help to people in need while allowing them to use their gifts and talents to create long-lasting change in their society. One initiative we are working on as a school community is building a school in Haiti. So far, we have raised over half of the amount we need for this vision to become a reality! We need about $3500 more dollars to complete our goal.

Now, you may be wondering how watching Grease will help us build this school. Well, all of the money that we make from this night is going to this cause. That being said, admission is free (we do ask for you to bring school supplies and/or canned goods). All funds from the food and snacks available for purchase will be donated to our initiative. Pizza, popcorn, candy, cupcakes, and cookies - you name it, we will have it! Additionally, we will be doing a 50/50 draw where you have an opportunity to win some cash. Are you pumped yet?
