Winter Sports Pep Rally

The gym was a sea of black and gold this past Thursday as Holy Trinity held a pep rally for the winter sports teams. The music was blaring, the students filled the gym in their black and gold attire (special shout out to D’Arcy Murphy for rocking the golden toga!), and candy was thrown into the bleachers as the pep rally kicked off with an amazing highlight video of the winter teams.

There were many great teams celebrated, including the swimming team, junior and senior boys hockey, junior and senior girls volleyball, curling, junior and senior boys basketball, and the ski and snowboard team. There was also plenty of fun and exciting activities, including the “How well do you know your partner?” game, an impressive and intense dunk contest won by Ignas Brazdeikis, an ice cream eating competition, and the “Starter Pack” game which was very original and fun.

The pep rally concluded with a very well-done music video which was a parody of Iggy Azalea’s song “Fancy”, involving the members of SAC (Student Athletic Council). Overall, it was a very fun and exciting pep rally full of school spirit. I look forward to the next pep rally that will celebrate the spring sports teams! Go Titans!
