Titans Walk With Jesus

By: Izabela Pitula
On Thursday, May 7th, 20 students represented Holy Trinity on an annual “Walk with Jesus” hosted by the Halton Catholic District School Board, as part of the celebration of Catholic Education Week.

The event started at Bronte Park in Burlington where there was a short liturgy by three priests from churches around Halton. After a brief preview of how the day would go, all of the representatives from the many schools started walking and singing. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was blooming.

After a 30 minute walk, we got to our destination which was Corpus Christi school where we sat down and ate lunches on the parking lot alongside the joyful performances by bands.

To conclude the 6th "Walk with Jesus", we all attended a mass celebrated by Bishop Crosby at the high school's gym. The homily was very inspiring as the bishop was talking about us, the youth, and how our education is very important to go far in life, but he highlighted that we have to take some time out of our busy schedules to make room for God and prayer.
The whole day was very successful and heartwarming therefore I encourage all of you to go next year and years after that. It gives you a great opportunity to celebrate your faith with your peers as well as represent HT in the best way possible!
