Clubs Going UP on a Thursday

By: Molly Pearson

Last Thursday night, members from Holy Trinity’s incredibly diverse clubs flooded the atrium in preparation for the First Annual Clubs Banquet. This banquet was held to honour our dedicated club members and all of the work they put into our school.

Put together by Miss Di Federico and student representatives Maddi McNevitts and Kate Ingman, the evening started off with socializing as the attendees began to arrive. They were not without boredom however, as there was an exciting photo booth set up for their enjoyment. Boas, big sunglasses, funny hats - you name it - it was at their fingertips for frame worthy snaps.

Then it was time for what everyone had been waiting for, dinner! Catered by Luigi’s Catering, the spread was delicious, plentiful and highly popular amongst the students, who sat in the cafeteria at spirited black and gold tablecloths for their meal.

That’s not to mention, however, the incredible selection of desserts that the club members dug into as the awards were given out. Each club awarded a member with a Most Active Contributor (M.A.C.) award, as well as an award voted on by the club members. Some honorable mentions include:

Post awards, the Titans retired to the theatre for a motivational talk from self-proclaimed “Motivational Humourist”, Judy Suke who told about finding your passion and working towards a happy life. She kept the students laughing whilst also touching on very important topics in the teenage life.

Overall, the night was a huge success, an excellent and much needed chance to recognize the extraordinary efforts put forth by those in clubs! Keep up the great extracurricular involvement and GO TITANS!
