March Break is right around the corner. Are you still trying to figure out how to spend the week off from school? Aside from lounging on the sofa with some friends, some snacks, and Netflix (certainly nothing to be ashamed of- we all do it), here are a few more interesting suggestions for how you can make this Break a memorable one.
- Travel! Don't fret if you aren't going on the Italy Trip over the break with Mrs. Montanari. There are plenty of other places to go and things to see. Whether it's a family vacation to a beach destination or a weekend road trip to go skiing and shopping, traveling is an exciting opportunity to see new things and check out some of the great things this planet has to offer!
- Take in some live music! There are concerts happening every night in venues big and small in the GTA. The big ticket show in Toronto next week is Maroon 5 at the Air Canada Centre, but if you're looking for something different, check out this list. There's no better experience than to be up close and personal with your favourite band or artist and to hear them perform live.
- Ski or snowboard! Holy Trinity's school team members aren't the only ones who love it on the hills. Fortunately, most ski hills are still open for March Break for you to enjoy. Make the most of the end of the season before the heat is here to stay!
- Get cultured! There are great museums and galleries in the area just waiting to be discovered. Besides the big three consisting of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), and Ontario Science Centre (OSC)- which are often absolute zoos during the March Break- there are quite a few other interesting spots to check out for an afternoon. Some interesting locations include: the Oakville Historical Society, the McMichael Collection in Kleinburg, or the Canadian Warplane Museum.
- Watch some live sports! If you can't manage to get tickets to a Leafs or Raptors game in Toronto, you can still cheer on a team like the Toronto Rock or Toronto Marlies, who each play two home games during the break. Closer to home, you can cheer on the Oakville Blades at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex as they begin the second round of the playoffs next week.
Enjoy the break, HT!
