This Halloween the halls of Holy Trinity were filled with both monstrous and hilarious
costumes from head to toe. From Darla of “Finding Nemo” to dead, gory school girls, Holy
Trinity truly showed spirit this Hallows’ Eve.
Once again students crowded the halls with classic and creative costume ideas.
Kassandra Bot, winner of this year’s “Best Student Costume,” decided to go as Darla Sherman,
the crazy 8 year-old fish killer of the classic Disney movie “Finding Nemo.” Kassandra had
decided on the costume idea when her friend came up with it and passed it along to Kassandra.
Within a week Kassandra had her costume planned out. Kassandra’s final remarks were
“FISHY, FISHY, FISHY!”
All grades happily participated in the day’s activities, showing great spirit! Kayla Rach,
grade 10, went as Mario while her boyfriend accompanied her as her Luigi. Having this idea
planned for months, she said, “We were looking for something fun that we could both do which
kids could see and laugh!”
There were also some gory looking students dressed up in their most gruesome attire
for Holy Trinity’s Haunted House, which caused screaming and terror. Valeria Granda and
Veronique Chesterfield, two of the characters of the Haunted House, told us, “We put so much
effort into it so every year is super great! We have so much more creative things than last
year’s!” The Haunted House truly was terrifying and definitely made people run for their lives!
Students weren’t the only ones with Halloween spirit! Teachers and staff of Holy Trinity
proudly dressed up with their wacky attire. Ms. Bracco, Ms. Di Diodato, Ms. Amato, and Mr.
Ryan dressed up as the “Grammar Police” – giving out tickets to anyone and everyone who
defied the laws of grammar! They also won this year’s “Best Group Costume”; no surprise there!
Our principal, Mrs. O’Grady, also showed amazing spirit with her mad scientist costume.
When asked what her inspiration was she said, “I do have a bit of a science background, so a
mad scientist comes naturally!” Mrs. O’Grady shared that the costume was a very last minute
idea since she wanted to participate in the wonderful and spooky tradition of dressing up. We
applaud her on her creativity!
spirit, Halloween at Holy Trinity truly was a treat!
