This past Tuesday October 28th was an exciting day for students in their final year of elementary school.
Travelling from Holy Trinity’s feeder schools – Our Lady of Peace, St. Andrew, St. John, St. Marguerite
d’Youville, and St. Michael – the eager students were at the school for a memorable visit.
The day kicked off with an informative presentation about our school community and the awesome
activities it has to offer. Led by grade twelve Prefect Ambassadors Jordyn Bell, Jacob DiCarlo, and Vlad
Podskalniy, Prefects had the opportunity to describe their favourite aspects of student life at HT and
field some questions from the young audience.
Following the presentation, the future freshmen were separated into two main groups: half of the
students spent period 2 touring various classrooms in the school, while the others explored the different
department and club displays in the gym with a course carousel. With a pizza lunch occupying the
visitors during period 3A, the grade eights were recharged for period 3BC when they switched stations
to experience either the carousel or the school tour.
Under the leadership of Mr. McConville and Mrs. Nayyar, and dressed in their finest black and gold spirit
wear, the Prefect committee worked together with Student Council to organize the day’s events and get
the visiting grade eights excited for their approaching high school careers as Holy Trinity Titans.
